Access Rental Gulf’s new purpose-built UAE depot in Al Layyan, Dubai Industrial City has reached an important construction milestone, with the project now approximately 65% complete.
The new depot, strategically located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, has made significant progress over recent months and is now moving into the next phase of development. The main depot buildings have been fully erected, the workshop structure is complete, the yard area has been finished, and the perimeter walls are now in place.
Once fully operational, the new facility will become a central operational hub for Access Rental Gulf’s UAE business, bringing together workshop, service, PDI, maintenance, fleet support, and training operations within one purpose-built location.
The project is currently progressing through its finishing and infrastructure stages, with rendering works underway and drainage and sewage systems being installed. These important works will support the long-term functionality of the depot and ensure the facility is equipped to manage day-to-day operations, machine preparation, servicing, maintenance, and customer support.
Access Rental Gulf expects the depot to be ready for occupation and operational transition around December 2026 / January 2027, subject to the continued progress of the remaining construction and finishing works.
The new depot has been designed to strengthen Access Rental Gulf’s ability to support customers across the UAE with faster, more efficient, and more reliable powered access equipment rental services. Its strategic position between Dubai and Abu Dhabi provides a strong logistical advantage, allowing the business to respond more effectively to customer requirements across both major markets and surrounding areas.
By centralising key operational functions within one facility, Access Rental Gulf will be able to improve communication, coordination, fleet preparation, machine turnaround times, and delivery and collection planning. This will help reduce unnecessary machine movements, support improved fleet availability, and strengthen customer service across construction, infrastructure, industrial, facilities management, oil and gas, telecoms, and other key sectors.
The dedicated yard area will support fleet storage, machine movements, loading, unloading, and day-to-day operational activity, while the completed workshop structure will provide the foundation for future service, inspection, PDI, and maintenance operations. A dedicated training area will also support operator training, safety, compliance, and customer familiarisation.

The latest progress marks a significant step forward in Access Rental Gulf’s continued investment in its UAE operations. With the main buildings now erected, the workshop structure complete, the yard area finished, and the site moving into its second-fix and final completion stages, the vision for the new depot is now becoming a reality.
